THE BRAND

The Joseph Azagury collection of women's footwear is recognised as one of the UK 's leading independent footwear brands.

Each design is carefully drawn, sculpted and created by Joseph Azagury ,the founder of the brand.

Born in Casablanca,Joseph is influenced by his North African origins mixed with French and Spanish family heritage.

Following his studies at London's prestigious Cordwainers College,Joseph Azagury consolidated his design expertise and craftmanship  working in the UK ( for Terry de Havilland amongst others), Spain,Italy,Brazil and  the USA.

His single aim in setting up his own label in 1990 was to make beautiful womens shoes ,allowing his customers to enjoy elegant, feminine and comfortable footwear.

"In 2013,I fulfilled my ambition to bring the production to the UK where the shoes are handmade in our  London Atelier in limited edition ,using the finest quality materials. With my wife & business partner  Eva  on the marketing and retail side ,I can concentrate on  designs and manufacturing .Perfect partnership!"

The shoes are as much works of art as footwear.

OUR COMMITMENTS

Having our own atelier allows us to be more responsive to customer's demands and trends. This enable us to bring in new styles regularly  and new stock as needed .We only produce limited edition thus reducing  stock wastage. We reuse components like heels, insoles etc..of unsold stock.

We have been taking some important steps ,for some years  now , for more sustainable packaging and waste reduction.

Our branded carrier bags and shoes boxes are made from 100% recycled paper and cardboard. All  shoe boxes are recycled.

The proximity of our atelier to our boutique in Wimbledon Village  helps reduce our impact on the environment.

Any surplus stock from previous seasons  is never thrown away or destroyed but always donated to charities such as Royal Trinity Hospice (we are one of their corporate partners ) or Octavia Foundation among many charities we have helped over the years either by donating stock ,gift vouchers for charity auctions (NSPCC Childline,Stem4 etc..) or proceeds from sales ( The Wimbledon Foodbank -The Trussell Trust )
